Job summary

Edgenta FIRST Sdn Bhd invites seasoned civil engineers to join our project team as Inspector of Works. The role focuses on supervising construction activities, ensuring compliance with drawings, specifications, and safety standards on road and bridge sites.

The ideal candidate holds a Diploma or Bachelor's in Civil Engineering, at least seven years' site supervision experience, and certification as Inspector of Works with BOE Malaysia. Strong QA knowledge and regulatory familiarity are essential.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor's in Civil Engineering.
• At least seven years of site supervision experience on road/bridge projects.
• Certified Inspector of Works (Board of Engineers Malaysia).
• Solid knowledge of civil engineering methods and QA processes.
• Familiar with Malaysian construction regulations and safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Ensure approved materials, methods, and workmanship are used.
• Inspect works per Construction Drawings for dimensions, levels, locations.
• Stage inspection of WPC's work as requested.
• Witness testing of all materials and works.
• Note site instructions and directives from drawings used in inspection.
• Prepare a written list of attention points with RE; verify rectification before covering.
• Inform WPC and ARE if Safety, Health, Environmental requirements are not met.
