Job summary

SGS, the world’s leading testing, inspection and certification company, is seeking an on-site Inspector in Perak, Malaysia. The role requires following detailed instructions from managers and preparing tools and documentation for inspections.

You will review job files, ensure inspections comply with procedures, guide trainees, supervise the inspection team, and report daily operations while maintaining safety standards.

Qualifications

• Minimum education is SPM.
• Preferable 3–5 years of relevant work experience; more than 5 years considered for senior roles.

Responsibilities

• Review job files before inspection to ensure completeness.
• Ensure operations/inspections follow approved procedures and standards.
• Prepare tools, instruments and documentation for inspections.
• Provide guidance to trainees or junior inspectors on the job.
• Supervise inspection team when required and coordinate with Port Operations.
• Check draft field reports and organize reports before handing over to Operations Executive.
• Assist in daily operations and update supervisor on issues encountered.
• Maintain equipment and report discrepancies; uphold HSE policy at all times.
• Perform driving support to staff at certain locations as needed.
