Job summary

Setel is looking for a Lead, Business Strategy & Development to shape Setel’s strategic direction through market insights, internal analysis and portfolio management. You’ll partner with business and product teams to move initiatives from strategy into execution.

You will develop business cases, conduct market analyses on fintech and mobility trends, maintain portfolio views, and identify new growth opportunities, including feasibility studies and MVP planning.

Qualifications

• A degree in business, economics, finance, maths, stats, or related disciplines.
• Minimum 8 years working experience in strategy, consulting, product strategy, corporate planning, or related roles.
• Proven track record in leading end-to-end strategic growth initiatives from analysis through execution.
• Experience in developing business cases, conducting financial modelling, and portfolio management.
• Prior exposure to cross-functional projects, partnerships, or joint ventures in technology, fintech, or digital businesses would be an added advantage.

Setel serves customers across Malaysia by powering one app as the constant companion to ease motorists’ journey across fueling, parking, EV charging, motor insurance, road tax, auto assistance, general purchases, and more across an ecosystem of PETRONAS petrol stations, retail partners, and online merchants.

Role Purpose:

The Lead, Business Strategy & Development develops and implements Setel’s strategic direction through market insights, internal analysis and portfolio management to support value-based decisions across growth initiatives, investments and strategic projects. The role also works closely with business and product teams to ensure initiatives move from strategy into execution.

In this role you will:
