Job summary

Synertec Asia (M) Sdn Bhd is seeking an engineer to define requirements and document the design of BMS and EMS systems for new facilities, ensuring consistency with previous projects and industry best practices.

The role covers AHU zoning, HVAC schematics, duct sizing, equipment placement, and coordination with vendors. You will work with other disciplines to deliver complete, compliant designs and plan the engineering workload for ongoing projects.

Qualifications

• Minimum BSc in Mechanical/Electrical/Automation Engineering with 5 years' related experience or Diploma with 10 years' related experience.
• Experience with industrial automation/control and monitoring systems, such as BMS and EMS.
• Strong general engineering and design skills with high attention to detail.
• Experience in HVAC systems including calculations for heat load, psychrometric chart, air balancing, mass balancing, line sizing and duct sizing is preferred.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office and AutoCAD.
• Familiarity with GMP requirements and relevant design codes/standards.

Responsibilities

• Define requirements for and document the design of BMS and EMS systems for new facilities to basic design level of detail.
• Ensure consistency with prior project designs while improving documentation according to industry practices.
• Prepare AHU zoning, air handling schematics, HVAC calculations, equipment placement, duct sizing and routing.
• Coordinate with vendors, review submittals and drawings for fitness and errors.
• Assist in installation and commissioning test documentation and project planning.
• Work with other disciplines to ensure complete and accurate design deliverables.
• Plan workload, track progress and resolve open issues or conflicting information.
• Develop conceptual layouts and cost studies to determine efficient solutions.
