Job summary

Jora Malaysia is seeking a Project Lead, Software Development to spearhead the design and build of a new payroll software system, leveraging AI tools to accelerate development and drive automation. You will lead the project end-to-end, coordinate across departments and external vendors, and maintain existing internal systems.

Applicants should have proven software development experience across the full lifecycle, with payroll/HRIS exposure, and strong independent leadership.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Software Developer with full lifecycle skills.
• Hands-on experience building software from scratch, ideally payroll/HRIS.
• Familiar with AI tools as part of the development workflow.
• Strong project management and ability to coordinate without a dedicated team.
• Solid IT background with system integration and troubleshooting.
• Analytical mindset and proactive problem solving.
• Experience coordinating with vendors or cross-functional stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end design, development, and rollout of payroll software built from scratch.
• Utilize AI tools for coding, testing, and deployment to accelerate delivery.
• Define architecture, data models, and integration points with HR/finance systems.
• Own timelines, milestones, and communication with stakeholders.
• Troubleshoot issues and ensure security, data accuracy, and compliance.
