Job summary

Jora Malaysia is seeking a Project Lead, Software Development to spearhead the design and build of a new payroll software system using AI tools to accelerate development and automation. You will work independently, lead end-to-end delivery, and coordinate across departments and external vendors while maintaining existing systems.

The role requires hands-on software development experience and strong project management skills to deliver a scalable payroll solution in a dynamic environment in Kuala

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Software Developer with strong coding skills across the full development lifecycle.
• Hands-on experience building software from scratch, ideally including payroll, HRIS, or related systems.
• Comfortable using AI tools to build and ship software as a core part of the development workflow.
• Strong project management skills to independently plan, coordinate, and execute a project.
• Strong IT background including system integration and technical troubleshooting.
• Good analytical skills and a proactive problem-solving mindset.
• Experience coordinating with vendors or cross-functional stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Lead the end-to-end design, development, and rollout of a new payroll software system built from scratch.
• Use AI tools to build the payroll system from code generation to testing and deployment.
• Leverage AI-assisted coding and workflow automation to accelerate development.
• Define system architecture, data models, and integration points with existing HR/finance systems.
• Own the project timeline, milestones, and deliverables, and communicate progress to stakeholders.
• Develop, enhance, and maintain internal software tools and systems.
• Troubleshoot technical issues, perform root-cause analysis, and implement fixes.
• Ensure system security, data accuracy, and compliance with internal policies.
• Coordinate with other departments and external vendors to ensure smooth data flow and integration.
