Job summary

MKS Instruments in Malaysia is seeking a Production Technician to support optical laser products. You will build and align lasers and their optical systems, take ownership to meet production output, and perform testing and troubleshooting of complex systems, subassemblies and PCBA.

You will install and align optical parts, operate and repair lasers, and set up electronic and optical instruments to test laser devices.

Qualifications

• Higher NITEC or Diploma in Mechanical, Electrical, or Mechatronics Engineering.

Responsibilities

• Build and align laser and its optical system.
• Take responsibility to meet production output.
• Perform testing and troubleshooting of complex systems, subassemblies and PCBA.
• Test, operate, repair and maintenance of lasers products that use or incorporate lasers.
• Install and align optical parts such as mirrors and lenses.
• Familiar with oscilloscopes, function generator, optical microscope, power meter, spectrum analyzer.
• Knowledge of analog and digital circuitry.
• Assemble, install and align mechanical, optomechanical, electromechanical components.
• Set-up electronic and optical instruments to test laser device.
• Review assembly layouts, drawings, and sketches, analyze test data, and prepare technical reports for engineers.
