Job summary

AMETECH INDUSTRIES SDN. BHD. in Batu Kawan, Penang, is seeking a laser cutting operator to follow drawings and procedures, set up laser cuts, and select correct materials. You will establish stop locations, adjust focal points, and perform routine setups for cutting tasks.

You will also maintain equipment, log shifts in Infohub, report line down and defective parts, and uphold 5S and PPE safety at all times, with ad-hoc tasks as required by management.

Responsibilities

• Execute work according to work instruction, standard procedure and requirements in drawing.
• Perform typical laser cutting operations.
• Select the correct size of material (type, thickness and size)
• Select proper cutting programs and proper jig/fixtures.
• Establish proper stop location, adjust laser beam focal point.
• Make proper setups for cutting operations.
• Perform prescribed maintenance as required.
• Logon and Logoff job, detect and report line down and defective parts/materials in Infohub portal.
• Follow safety regulations such as wearing PPE.
• Support production 5S by keep work station clean and orderly to retain a safe and operational work environment.
• Allad-hoc assignments as and when required by the management from time to time.
