Job summary

KLK Alami Edible Oils Sdn Bhd invites applications for a Laboratory Technician to support daily QA/QC tasks in a busy edible oils facility. You will perform inspections and analyses, calibrate instruments, maintain records, and ensure proper stock and retention samples are managed efficiently.

Requirements include a Diploma in Science and at least 1 year of lab experience; exposure to ISO 9001, GMP, HACCP, Kosher and Halal is a plus.

Qualifications

• Minimum Diploma in Science or related field.
• Minimum of 1 year working experience in laboratory is preferred.
• Exposure to ISO 9001, GMP, HACCP, Kosher and Halal will be an added advantage.

Responsibilities

• Carry out inspection and analysis for incoming, in-process, final products and other samples according to the QA/QC plan.
• Perform instrument verification/calibration and upkeep of all instruments.
• Carry out sampling as per work requirement and ensure proper maintenance of quality records.
• Maintain stock of lab consumables, gas cylinders, chemicals and ensure retention samples (COA) are stored properly.
• Conduct online inspection for packing line and inspect storage tanks/road tanker as required.
• Perform QA/QC activities in the jerrycan blowing plant and manage instrument related to inspection.
• Maintain good housekeeping in the laboratory and perform other duties as assigned.

Job description

Ensure daily laboratory activities is carried out in safe manner, and follow all the standard operating procedure, rules and regulation.

Carry out all inspection and analysis for incoming material, in-process material, final product and other additional samples according to Quality Control Plan, standard test method. Provide test result / test report in timely and accurate manner.

Perform instrument verification/calibration according to plan, and ensure proper upkeep of all instruments. Perform inspection on instrument calibration status routinely and report to superior when instrument found faulty or calibration is due.

Carry out necessary sampling as per work requirement.

Ensure all retained samples and document (e.g., COA) are being kept properly.

Ensure proper maintenance of all quality records, both physical records and records maintain in software systems (e.g., instrument, SAP etc.)

Ensure all lab consumables, gas cylinders and chemicals stock sufficient for routine operation, and alert for reorder when stock depleted.

Conduct online inspection for packing line and carry out inspection on storage tank and road tanker/ISO tanker.

Perform QAQC activities in jerrycan blowing plant and handle instrument related to jerrycan inspection.

Maintain good housekeeping and cleanliness in laboratory at all times.

To perform other related duties assigned or requested by the Management from time to time.

Job Success Requirements
