Job summary

OneForma by Centific in Penang is inviting science students and junior lab professionals to join paid research sessions. You will perform lab tasks like titrations, pipetting, and sample handling while your technique is recorded to train AI systems.

Sessions are paid hourly, with a range from USD 14/hour for students and fresh graduates to USD 24/hour for 1–3 years of lab experience. Training is provided, and scheduling is flexible with evenings and weekends available.

Qualifications

• Students and recent graduates in chemistry, biochemistry, biology, pharmacy, nursing, or allied health.
• Lab coursework or TA experience counts.
• Junior lab professionals with up to 3 years hands-on experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform real bench work such as titrations, pipetting, and measuring with graduated cylinders.
• Follow safe lab procedures; use plastic equipment (no glass).
• Be recorded during work; stand for the session and wear the headset.
• Complete the initial paid session and potential additional hours based on performance.

Project Bunsen is a research initiative by OneForma by Centific, a global AI data platform with a community of over 1 million experts worldwide (oneforma.com). We're hiring science students and junior lab professionals in Penang for paid research sessions. You'll perform lab procedures you already know from class or work - titrations, pipetting, sample handling - and your recorded technique helps train the next generation of AI systems.

The basics:

• Pay: USD $14/hour for students and fresh graduates; up to USD $24/hour with 1-3 years professional lab experience
• Initial paid session: 2-3 hours, with the possibility of additional paid hours depending on performance - no long-term obligation
• Schedule: Flexible, incl. evenings and weekends - sessions begin soon, we're scheduling now

The equipment (simpler than it sounds):

• A small camera on a comfortable headset records your point of view - what you see while you work
• A lightweight handheld "gripper" tool records how your hand moves during tasks
• Paid training on both is included - no tech experience needed. The lab skills are yours already.

What you'll do:

• Real bench work you already know - tasks such as running titrations with a burette, transferring liquids with pipettes, measuring with graduated cylinders, handling test tubes and beakers, and similar procedures
• Follow safe lab procedures - no hazardous materials, all plastic equipment (no glass)

Who should apply:

• Students and recent graduates in chemistry, biochemistry, biology, pharmacy, nursing, or allied health - lab coursework or TA experience counts, no job title needed
• Junior lab professionals with up to 3 years hands-on experience (lab tech, phlebotomy, clinical, chemistry)
• Comfortable being recorded while you work
• Able to stand for the session (10-minute breaks every hour) and perform repetitive hand/arm tasks
• Able to wear the headset for the full session
