Job summary

UOB Innovation Hub 2 (InnoHub2) in Malaysia seeks a senior IT delivery leader to drive global market IT capabilities. You will plan and deliver complex projects, manage risks, and coordinate cross-functional teams while engaging stakeholders for successful delivery.

The role demands extensive Murex experience, banking domain knowledge, and a track record of leading multi-national IT delivery efforts with budget responsibility.

Qualifications

• Strong Murex skills (Datamart/MXML/Risk).
• Extensive business domain knowledge in Global Markets and Group Risk.
• Over 10 years delivering IT capabilities in a multi-national context with budget responsibility.
• More than 3 years of IT delivery leadership experience.
• Experience communicating with both functional and technical stakeholders.
• Background in banking and large-scale applications.
• Experience in systems development, specs, and testing (8+ years aggregate).
• Strong understanding of software development life cycle.

Responsibilities

• Plan technical and functional deliverables to meet project requirements within budget and schedule.
• Plan, monitor and manage risks/issues in technical delivery.
• Own delivery plan and oversee deployment and releases.
• Provide status updates to PM, TDM and program managers.
• Coordinate resources for day-to-day production tasks.
• Escalate and resolve issues impacting schedule with workarounds.
• Engage stakeholders and ensure governance and approvals are followed.

About The Department UOB Innovation Hub 2 (InnoHub2) is a UOB-wholly owned subsidiary and a Centre of Excellence based in Malaysia, providing Group Business Services (GBS) to support the UOB Group. Started in 2021 with technology application design, development and support, InnoHub2 is expanding beyond technology services to deliver other business services to support the Bank’s growth ambition. Job Responsibilities

• Plan technical and functional deliverables (including any system enhancements and upgrades) to meet project’s requirements within allocated budget and schedule.
• Plan, monitor and manage risks/issues related to technical delivery.
• Take ownership of any issues that may impact the delivery quality and timeline.
• Provide status update related to technical delivery to TDM/Project Manager (PM)/ Program Manager.
• Plan & allocate resources to support EOD tasks & day to day Production tasks requiring assistance.
• Oversee the deployment tasks, arrange for peer review of codes, maker-checker assignment & updating status to release team.
• Own the delivery plan.
• Escalate issues that impacts project schedule on timely basis and propose workarounds/resolutions.
• Follow up on the proposed solution and fix the problem
• Manage stakeholders throughout the duration of the role.
• Ensure project governance is adhered to, any changes are documented and approved

Job Requirements

• Strong Murex skills (Datamart/MXML/Risk)
• Good business domain knowledge in Global Markets and Group Risk
• More than 10 years track record in developing and delivering global/regional IT capabilities for a multi-national/regional company with annual budgetary responsibility
• More than 3 years leadership experience in managing IT delivery teams
• Experience in communicating with functional and technical stakeholders
• Experience in banking industry preferred
• Experience in implementing large-scale, highly available applications or other large project implementation
• Experience in service-oriented technologies
• Proven result-oriented person with a focus on delivery
• Experience in actual systems development work, with prior coding, functional specifications and technical specifications and systems development and testing experience (in aggregate no less than 8 years)
• Good understanding and experience in software development cycle
• Highly effective communicating with technical stakeholders, proficient communicating with non-technical stakeholders
• Good problem solving, analytical, synthesis, system thinking and solutioning skills
