Job summary

UOB Innovation Hub 2 Sdn Bhd in Malaysia is seeking a seasoned L3 Production Support engineer (C#, .Net) to join the Centre of Excellence in Kuala Lumpur. You will handle end-to-end software development and production support for banking applications, focusing on stability and performance.

The role requires a bachelor’s degree in IT, at least 6 years in Banking/Investment Banking/Info Tech, and proficiency in MS SQL, .NET, and React JS.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end software development and production support for work transitioned from Group, focusing on Level 3 production fixes.
• Manage production problems and incidents reported under retail investment applications.
• Ensure quality assurance of team deliverables in line with bank methodologies and tools.
• Collaborate with Group domain teams to plan and manage transitioned deliverables.
• Act as focal point for technical resolutions, managing incident, problem and knowledge processes.
• Provide comprehensive internal customer support and timely issue resolution.
• Manage 3rd party vendors for timely, high-quality code fix deliveries.
• Design metrics for reporting performance and quality indicators.

Job Responsibilities

You will be responsible for the end-to-end software development and support for all work transitioned from Group (specialised and focus on Level 3 production fixes). This includes analysis and design to development, implementation, testing and support and you will be expected to manage production problems and incidents reported under retail investment applications.

You will also be responsible for quality assurance of the team delivery in conformance to the Bank-defined software delivery methodology and tools. You will partner closely with the Group domain team to plan and manage transitioned deliverables.

Act as the focal point of contact for technical resolutions while managing the incident, problem and knowledge management processes for the applications in scope.

Provide comprehensive support to internal customers; achieve resolution to outstanding problems or issues.

Manage 3rd party product vendors and integration partners to ensure application code fix deliveries are timely and good quality.

Design appropriate metrics for reporting on key performance and quality indicators.

Test, maintain and recommend software improvements to ensure strong functionality and optimization.

Work with production support team members to conduct root cause analysis of issues, review new and existing code and/or perform unit testing.

Work with business stakeholders to manage and prioritize the overall book of work in terms of problem remediation.

Contribute to improvement initiatives relating to methods, tools, people, architecture, project management and governance.

Job Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree in related Information Technology disciplines; Additional professional/technical qualifications will be advantageous.

At least 6 years’ experience in relevant Banking/Investment Banking / Information

Technology with functional and system knowledge on Investment and Wealth

Proficient in Ms SQL platform, Dot Net and React JS programming.

Management

Experience in design, development, testing, implementation , support and

documentation of applications according to change requests and project

requirements.

Experience in Agile and DevOps practices.

Senior person in the team with experience providing guidance to junior developers (Good to have with team lead experience)
