Job summary

Jora Malaysia is seeking entry-level kitchen support staff to assist in food preparation, mise-en-place, and plating while following standard recipes. The role emphasizes hygiene, cleanliness, and safe operation of kitchen equipment in a fast-paced environment.

Ideal candidates have at least an SPM or equivalent, are physically fit, and willing to learn across kitchen sections. Training will be provided, and benefits include annual leave, medical leave, EPF, SOCSO, EIS, and insurance.

Qualifications

• Minimum SPM or equivalent; prior kitchen or F&B experience is an advantage but not mandatory.
• Basic knowledge of food preparation, kitchen cleanliness, and hygiene practices.
• Physically fit and able to stand for long hours in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
• Responsible, disciplined, and able to follow instructions and standard recipes accurately.
• Positive attitude, good teamwork skills, and willingness to learn and support different kitchen sections.

Responsibilities

• Food Preparation Support – Assist in ingredient preparation, mise-en-place, cooking, plating, and packaging while following recipes and portion standards.
• Cleaning & Hygiene Maintenance – Ensure all kitchen equipment, utensils, and workstations are clean, sanitized, and compliant with food safety and hygiene standards.
• Equipment Handling & Safety – Safely operate kitchen tools and machinery, report hazards or malfunctions, and maintain cleaning and sanitation supplies.
• Operational Assistance – Support kitchen setup, closing duties, inventory organization, and smooth service flow across all sections.
• Team Collaboration & Professionalism – Work closely with chefs and colleagues, maintaining a positive, professional, and cooperative attitude in all kitchen operations.
