Job summary

Permai Rainforest Resort in Kuching, Sarawak, is seeking a dedicated Kitchen Helper to support our culinary team in a full-time, on-site role. You will assist with food preparation, maintain kitchen hygiene, and help ensure high-quality meals for guests in a unique rainforest setting.

Applicants should have prior kitchen experience or a strong willingness to learn, with a focus on food safety, cleanliness, and teamwork.

Qualifications

• Experience in a kitchen environment, preferably in hospitality.
• Commitment to food safety, hygiene and cleanliness.
• Ability to stand for long periods and stay on your feet.

Responsibilities

• Assist chefs with food preparation and mise en place.
• Maintain kitchen cleanliness and hygiene, wash dishes and equipment.
• Organise and store food safely according to guidelines.
• Operate kitchen equipment safely under supervision.
• Support during busy service periods to ensure timely meals.
