Job summary

Bottega Mediterranea Sdn Bhd in Malaysia is seeking a Steward to support daily kitchen operations by maintaining cleanliness, washing equipment, and ensuring a clean, safe, and organized working environment. The role offers the chance to grow with a non-halal Italian F&B team dedicated to authentic cuisine.

You will work shifts, weekends and public holidays, with responsibilities including washing dishes, assisting kitchen staff, handling waste, and adhering to hygiene SOPs.

Qualifications

• Experience as Steward, Dishwasher or Kitchen Helper is an advantage.
• Basic knowledge of kitchen cleanliness and hygiene is preferred.
• Responsible, hardworking and able to work well in a team.
• Able to perform physical tasks and work in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
• Food Handler Certificate and typhoid vaccination, or willingness to obtain.
• Able to work shifts, weekends and public holidays.

Responsibilities

• Cleaning & Washing – Wash and clean dishes, utensils, kitchen equipment and work areas according to hygiene standards.
• Kitchen Support – Support the kitchen team with general cleaning and basic operational duties when required.
• Waste Management – Handle and dispose of kitchen waste properly and keep disposal areas clean and organized.
• Hygiene & Safety – Maintain cleanliness and follow food safety, hygiene and company SOPs at all times.
