Job summary

Passion Care Centre in Sabah, Malaysia seeks a Kitchen Helper to support patient meals in a healthcare setting, upholding the CARE standard of Compassion, Assistance, Respect and Empathy.

You will assist with early morning meal preparation, washing, cutting and chopping ingredients, packing meals for in-house and outreach patients, stocking items, maintaining sanitation, and keeping kitchen equipment clean.

Qualifications

• Prior experience in baking or pastry production is an added advantage.

Responsibilities

• Prepare early morning meals for patients
• Prepare for meals by washing, cutting, peeling and slicing ingredients
• Pack meals for caregiving outside and in-house patients
• Refill condiments or other supplies at table
• Stock food items properly in right storage
• Clear and clean kitchen station
• Wash, dry and put away all dishes and kitchen utensils
• Ensure kitchen equipment are well cleaned after use
• Maintain proper sanitation of the kitchen
• Mop and sweep

Communication

• Reports directly to Head Kitchen for kitchen duties
• To communicate directly with Chef or Finance Executive or Human Resource

Administration

• To ensure kitchen guidelines are properly displayed at prominent location

Others

• Prior experience in baking or pastry production is an added advantage
• Any other duties which may be assign by the management from time to time
