Job summary

Jora Malaysia is seeking a kitchen helper for an Italian restaurant at 29, Jalan Molek 3/10, Johor Bahru.

Salary ranges from 1800 to 2000 RM based on experience. Working hours are Tue–Fri 10:00–15:00, Sat/Sun 10:00–15:00 and 18:00–22:00; Mondays are off. Responsibilities include dishwashing, basic food prep, and maintaining kitchen cleanliness.

This role offers a hands-on environment in a busy kitchen with emphasis on hygiene and efficiency.

Responsibilities

• Dishwashing and sanitation using commercial sinks or dishwashers.
• Assist the chef with basic prep tasks (washing vegetables, peeling, portioning).
• Maintain kitchen cleanliness; mop floors, empty trash, and keep prep stations hygienic.

• Tuesday – Friday: 10:00 AM – 3:00 PM
• Saturday & Sunday: 10:00 AM – 3:00 PM and 6: 00 PM to 10 PM
• Monday: Rest Day / Closed

Responsibilities

• Dishwashing & Sanitation: Wash cooking utensils, pots, pans, and tableware using commercial sinks or dishwashers.
• Basic Food Prep: Assist the chef with basic prep tasks (washing vegetables, peeling, portioning, organizing storehouse ingredients).
• Kitchen Cleanliness: Mop floors, empty trash bins, and ensure prep stations stay hygienic throughout the shift.
