Job summary

Cheng Feng Machinery Sdn Bhd in Pasir Gudang, Johor is seeking a technician assistant to support senior technicians in servicing, maintenance and repair of welding machines and related equipment. You will perform basic troubleshooting, inspection and testing, and assist with installation, setup and commissioning at customer sites.

Fresh graduates or candidates with 1–2 years of technician experience are encouraged.

Qualifications

• Certificate / Diploma in Electrical, Mechanical, Mechatronics or related technical field is an advantage.
• Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply.
• 1-2 years of technician or machinery servicing experience is advantageous.
• Basic knowledge of electrical wiring, welding machines or mechanical equipment is an advantage.
• Able to use basic hand tools and measuring equipment.
• Willing to travel to customer sites when required.
• Able to work independently and as part of a team.
• Responsible, hardworking and willing to learn.
• Possess a valid driving licence.
• GDL licence is an added advantage.
• Able to communicate in basic English and Bahasa Malaysia.

Responsibilities

• Assist senior technicians in the servicing, maintenance and repair of welding machines and related equipment.
• Perform basic troubleshooting, inspection and testing of welding machines and electrical components.
• Assist with installation, setup and commissioning of welding equipment at customer sites.
• Carry out routine maintenance and repair works for welding machines, generators, compressors and other related equipment.
• Support technicians during site service, equipment delivery, collection and installation.
• Check equipment condition before and after rental.
• Identify faulty components and report technical issues to the senior technician.
• Maintain proper records of repair and maintenance work.
• Ensure tools, equipment and work areas are kept clean and properly maintained.
• Follow company safety procedures and customer site safety requirements.
• Perform other technical duties assigned by the supervisor.
