Job summary

Welding Alloys Group (Far East) Sdn Bhd invites applications for an Integra Supervisor to lead a welding team at our Tampoi, Johor facility. The role reports to the Process Engineer and focuses on supervising welding activities, ensuring safety, quality and timely project delivery.

You will train welders, coordinate day and night shifts, liaise with clients for in-situ jobs and maintain records. A Diploma or Certificate in welding or a related technical field with at least 5 years supervisory

Qualifications

• Minimum Diploma, Certificate or equivalent qualification in Welding, Welding Technology, Mechanical Engineering, Fabrication, Manufacturing, or a related technical field.
• Relevant welding certifications or technical qualifications will be an added advantage.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant working experience in a similar supervisory role, preferably within welding, fabrication, engineering or related industries.
• Conversational English is important as the role requires communication with clients and other subsidiaries within the Welding Alloys Group.
• Able to work day and night shifts and take initiative in a fast-paced environment.

Job description

Welding Alloys Group (Far East) Sdn Bhd is currently recruiting an Integra Supervisor to join our team at our facility in Taman Gembira, Tampoi, Johor.

Job Summary

The successful candidate will report directly to the Process Engineer and will be responsible for supervising welding activities, coordinating site operations, maintaining quality and safety standards, and ensuring the team meets operational and project requirements.

The role is currently offered on a full-time basis for the right candidate.

Key Responsibilities

Supervise, train and mentor a small team of welders, ensuring compliance with safety protocols, quality standards and established work procedures.

Assign tasks, prepare work schedules and monitor team performance to ensure optimal productivity and adherence to project timelines for both day and night shifts.

Foster a positive and collaborative working environment that promotes teamwork, open communication and continuous skills development.

Support in-situ jobs, coordinate with clients and organise worksite activities to ensure smooth and efficient execution.

Monitor welding processes to ensure they meet required quality and industry standards, making adjustments where necessary.

Enforce safety protocols, proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and safe working practices.

Ensure compliance with occupational health and safety requirements by conducting regular safety meetings and supporting safety improvement initiatives.

Coordinate with maintenance personnel to ensure proper maintenance and timely repair of welding equipment, tools and machinery.

Monitor equipment performance and promptly address malfunctions to minimise downtime and maintain efficient operations.

Maintain accurate records of welding activities, inspection results, production activities and employee performance.

Prepare reports relating to production output, quality control and safety compliance for management review.

Perform other ad-hoc duties and responsibilities as assigned by management.

Qualifications & Experience

Minimum Diploma, Certificate or equivalent qualification in Welding, Welding Technology, Mechanical Engineering, Fabrication, Manufacturing, or a related technical field.

Relevant welding certifications or technical qualifications will be an added advantage.

Candidates with strong practical welding experience and relevant industry knowledge may also be considered.

Minimum 5 years of relevant working experience in a similar supervisory role, preferably within welding, fabrication, engineering or related industries.
Proven ability to supervise and manage a small team effectively.

Strong understanding of welding processes, quality requirements and workplace safety practices.

Able to work independently, take initiative and make sound decisions in a fast-paced working environment.

Fast learner, responsible and reliable, with a strong sense of ownership and commitment to work.

Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with clients, colleagues and different departments.

Conversational English is important as the role requires communication with clients and other subsidiaries within the Welding Alloys Group.

Willing to work on day and night shifts and support in-situ/site assignments when required.
