Job summary

Silicon X, a fabless semiconductor company in Kuala Lumpur, seeks a Strategy Officer to support the MD in forming and monitoring company strategy. You will turn strategic intent into documented plans, drive execution across the organisation, and maintain reporting that tracks success.

Responsibilities include investor relations, grant applications, and collaboration with compliance, corporate and engineering teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science or a related discipline with a strong academic record.
• Excellent written and spoken English.
• Working proficiency in Bahasa Malaysia sufficient to draft and review submissions to government agencies.
• Strong command of Excel and PowerPoint; comfortable building clear slides from a blank page.
• Structured thinker; able to break ambiguous problems into parts with written recommendations.
• Meticulous attention to detail; grant submissions and investor documents require accuracy.
• Willingness to chase, follow up and hold others to committed dates without formal authority.
• Self-directed, organized, and comfortable in a startup with shifting priorities.

Responsibilities

• As Strategy Officer, drive strategic lifecycle by researching, implementing and monitoring KPIs.
• Manage investor relations, government grants, and compliance coordination.
• Bridge corporate and engineering teams to streamline communication and cadence.
• Support market development by gathering FPGA landscape intelligence for go-to-market strategies.
• Provide robust project management oversight across schedules, deliverables and risks.
• Prepare research and option papers; structure questions into clear recommendations with evidence.
