We are looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic Junior Sommelier cum F&B Attendant who has a genuine passion for wine, fine dining and creating memorable guest experiences.
This role is ideal for someone who wants to build a serious career in wine while developing strong restaurant service skills within a refined dining environment.
As a Junior Sommelier cum F&B Attendant, you will support the Sommelier in delivering professional wine service while contributing actively to the restaurant’s daily front‑of‑house operations.
You will provide warm, genuine and attentive hospitality, assist with food and beverage service, and help ensure that every part of the guest experience is delivered smoothly and consistently.
Supporting the Sommelier in delivering wine service according to the restaurant’s service standards.
Presenting, opening, pouring and serving wine confidently and professionally.
Developing a strong understanding of our wine list, wine philosophy and pairing programme.
Building detailed knowledge of the food menu, ingredients, allergens and service standards.
Assisting with restaurant setup, food and beverage service, table maintenance and closing duties.
Anticipating guest needs and providing warm, personalised and professional hospitality.
Communicating effectively with the kitchen, bar and service teams throughout service.
Participating fully in the restaurant’s structured wine training programme.
Conducting short sharing sessions during daily briefings on wines by the glass, wine pairings and selected bottles.
Assisting with wine stock takes, monitoring bottle movement and ensuring wines and related equipment are properly stored and handled.
Supporting wine dinners, special events, wine promotions and other beverage‑related activities.
Maintaining high standards of cleanliness, hygiene, grooming, punctuality and professional conduct.
Most importantly, we are looking for someone who demonstrates a genuine dedication to wine and is committed to continuously developing their knowledge, palate and service skills.
You are someone who:
Has a genuine passion for wine and wishes to build a professional career in wine service.
Holds a WSET Level 2 or CMS Introductory Certificate, or is willing to obtain the qualification during employment.
Is prepared to commit the time and effort required to attend classes, study and complete the certification within an agreed timeframe.
Understands that the Company will initially fund the approved certification programme, with the cost to be repaid by the employee under an agreed repayment arrangement.
Demonstrates initiative in learning about wine through training, tastings, reading and independent study.
Has previous experience in F&B, hospitality or a refined dining environment.
Is warm, attentive and confident when engaging with guests.
Pays close attention to detail and takes pride in delivering excellent service.
Is willing to support all aspects of restaurant operations—not only wine service.
Has a positive attitude and is eager to learn, contribute and grow.
