Job summary

Conspec Builders Malaysia is seeking an entry-level Quantity Surveyor to join our main building works contract, focusing on pre-contract tendering and post-contract commercial management across building projects. The role is based in the Petaling Jaya area with opportunities for mentorship and growth.

The candidate should have a degree in Quantity Surveying (fresh grads welcome) and strong command of English, with a willingness to work on landscape and building projects under a main contractor

Qualifications

• Degree in Quantity Surveying; fresh grads welcome.
• 1+ years’ experience with a main contractor or building subcontractor.
• Strong experience in building/landscape construction projects.
• Proven expertise in build-up rate analysis and cost estimation.
• Experience handling pre-contract and post-contract works end-to-end.
• Familiar with standard construction contracts.
• Proficient in QS, estimating, and reporting softwares.
• Must have strong command of English.

Responsibilities

• Tendering, estimating, and pricing for landscape works.
• Prepare and review build-up rates (labour, materials, plant, preliminaries).
• Cost planning, BQ preparation, and tender analysis.
• Sub-contractor procurement, comparison, negotiation, and award.
• Manage post-contract QS functions including progress claims, valuations, variations, VO, and final accounts.
• Commercial reporting and contract administration.
• Liaise with clients, consultants, project managers, and site teams.
