Job summary

AME Construction Sdn. Bhd. is a leading Malaysian builder delivering industrial and commercial projects. We are seeking a Quantity Surveyor to handle tender submissions, budgeting, and cost control at Senai, Johor.

Responsibilities include preparing bids, budgets, and data libraries; negotiating with sub-contractors; and producing interim and final accounts. Fresh graduates are welcome to apply, with opportunities for growth within the Contract Department.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year experience in construction or consultant firm.
• Certificate in Quantity Surveying/Building Management required.
• Fresh graduates encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

• Prepare tender submissions and bids, including take-off and quotations.
• Prepare initial budget and P/L for post-Contract.
• Prepare itemized build-up rates for tender costing.
• Prepare cost data library for materials and sub-con.
• Submit budgets for verification and input into Pronto System.
• Attend quarterly budget reviews and handle ad hoc cases.
• Check quantities against drawings.
• Prepare sub-contractor quotations and negotiate terms.
• Prepare Work Orders for sub-contractors.
• Prepare correspondence on contractual matters.
• Verify material requisitions vs specifications.
• Prepare interim payment certificates and monthly progress claims.
• Prepare Final Account.
