Job summary

WIJAYA DAYA SDN BHD is seeking a Junior Quantity Surveyor/Contract Administrator to support cost control and procurement on ongoing projects in Sabah. The role involves tender evaluation, cost estimation, interim valuations, and ensuring progress claims are certified by consultants and clients.

Working with the Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will help prepare tender documents and sub-contract BOQs, and assist in subcontractor payments. Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

• Perform contract administration, procurement, monthly cost reporting and tracking of on-going projects.
• Evaluate tenders, prepare tender submissions, cost estimates, and interim valuations for main contracts and subcontractors.
• Assist in preparing progress claims and ensure certification by consultants and clients.
• With Senior QS, prepare tender documents and BOQ for sub-contract tenders.
• Assist to prepare and verify subcontractor payments with Senior QS.
• Any other duties as assigned by Head of Department.

Education

Certificate/ Diploma in Quantity Surveying

Job description

Perform contract administration, procurement, monthly cost reporting and tracking of on-going project.

Handle evaluation of tender, preparation of tender submission, cost estimation, procurement support, preparation of interim valuation for main contract and subcontractors

Assist in preparation of the main progress claim and to ensure the certification of the progress claim by the consultants of the project, the project management consultants and the project client.

Together with the Senior Quantity Surveyor, to jointly prepare the tender documents and the bill of quantities for calling of various tender of sub-contract works.

Together with the Senior Quantity Surveyor and assist to prepare and verify the sub-contractors payments.

Any other duties and responsibilities as may be assigned from time to time by the Head of Department.

Requirements

• Possess at least Certificate, Diploma in Quantity Surveying or related field;

The year 1999 was another milestone in the company’s, in its first foray into Civil and Building work such as SESB Sub Station at Mengaris, High Tension Power Cable Trench at Karambunai, Demolition & Reconstruction of weighbridge work at Cement Industry Sabah, Construction and Completion of Architecture work for Kota Kinabalu Polytechnic Campus at Sabah And Earth work at Karambunai SESB Sub Station.
