ADVANCED DEFENCE SYSTEMS SDN. BHD. is seeking a Junior Executive, Project Engineer (Protege-RTW) for a contract position at Kompleks Institut Penyelidikan Sains & Teknologi Pertahanan (STRIDE) Batu Arang, Rawang. The role offers hands-on experience in defence-focused project engineering under mentorship.

You will assist in planning, design, and execution, develop technical documentation, participate in reviews, and ensure alignment with timelines and quality standards in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechatronic, Chemistry, Physics or related discipline).
• Strong understanding of project management principles.
• Excellent technical writing and documentation skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with attention to detail.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• Familiarity with quality assurance processes and safety protocols.
• Organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.

• Prior internship or project engineering experience is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Support the planning, design and execution of engineering projects, working closely with senior project engineers and project managers.
• Assist in the development and review of technical documentation, including project specifications, design drawings and engineering reports.
• Participate in project meetings, site inspections and technical reviews to ensure alignment with project requirements and timelines.
• Contribute to the identification and resolution of technical issues and challenges throughout the project lifecycle.
• Support the coordination of resources, schedules and deliverables to ensure projects stay on track.
• Conduct research and analysis to support engineering solutions and project decision-making.
• Maintain accurate records and documentation of project activities, progress and outcomes.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including design, procurement and quality assurance to deliver project objectives.
• Support the implementation of quality assurance and safety standards across all project activities.
