Job summary

737 Kheng Seng Holdings Sdn Bhd, a property development and construction group based in Kuala Lumpur, is seeking a Junior Project Engineer to support on-site construction and project coordination.

You will monitor daily works against drawings, specifications and schedules, provide technical guidance, manage project documentation, and liaise with project managers, contractors, and consultants to resolve issues on site.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management or related field.
• 1–3 years of experience in construction projects.
• Experience with high-rise buildings is an added advantage.
• Ability to work independently with minimum supervision and as part of a team.
• Strong problem solving, analytical and communication skills, with good interpersonal ability.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and project software.

As a Junior Project Engineer, you will monitor daily construction work and ensure all work is carried out in accordance with approved drawings, specifications, and schedules. You will provide technical support and guidance to the construction team on site, manage project documentation, and work collaboratively with Project Managers, contractors, and consultants to resolve technical and construction issues.

Key responsibilities

Monitor daily construction work and ensure all work is carried out in accordance with approved drawings, specifications, and schedules

Coordinate with Project Managers and contractors on site activities

Conduct site inspections with contractors and identify technical issues, defects, discrepancies, etc.

Provide technical support and guidance to the construction team on site

Control all project drawings and documents

Attend site meetings and site valuations where required

Assist in liaison with consultants and contractors to anticipate and resolve all technical and construction issues arising at site and contractual disputes

Assist in liaison with local authorities

About you

Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management or related field

Minimum 1-3 years of experience in construction project

Experience with high-rise building will be an added advantage

Able to work independently with minimum supervision and a team player

Problem-solving abilities with strong analytical and critical thinking skills

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to liaise effectively across all levels

Proficiency in Microsoft Office and project software
