Job summary

KCJ ENGINEERING SDN. BHD. is seeking a detail-oriented procurement assistant in Shah Alam to support day-to-day purchasing for company and projects.

You will handle RFQs, supplier sourcing, quotations, and ordering processes, coordinating with project, engineering, site and finance teams. You will maintain supplier records, monitor delivery performance, negotiate terms where appropriate, and assist in cost comparisons and procurement reports.

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in procurement, supply chain or related field.
• Fresh graduates or 1–2 years in procurement encouraged.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel.
• Experience in construction or project procurement is an advantage.
• Strong negotiation and communication skills.
• Well-organised with attention to detail and able to manage deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Assist in day-to-day procurement activities for company and project needs.
• Prepare and issue RFQs to suppliers and subcontractors.
• Source suitable suppliers based on price, quality, availability.
• Obtain, compare and evaluate quotations for best terms.
• Prepare POs and purchase requisitions.
• Coordinate with project, engineering, site and finance teams.
• Monitor supplier performance and resolve procurement issues.
• Maintain records of suppliers, quotations and orders.
• Support procurement reporting and cost comparisons.
