Job summary

OSRAM Opto Semiconductors (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd is seeking a Junior Process Technician (Metal Deposition) in Kulim, Malaysia. The role supports metal deposition processes, data collection, and process improvements in a high-mix, low-to-mid volume environment.

You will work with cross-functional teams to sustain daily operations. Qualifications include a Diploma in Engineering and 1 year wafer fabrication experience, with fluency in English and Bahasa Malaysia.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Engineering required (Mechanical / Electrical / Electronics).
• 1 year of front-end semiconductor wafer fabrication experience.
• 1 year of experience in manufacturing, process engineering, product or process development.
• Experience in sputtering and evaporation processes is a plus.
• Willingness to work 12-hour rotating shifts.
• Ability to work effectively in a cross-cultural multinational environment.
• Fluent in English and Bahasa Malaysia.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily process sustaining tasks such as slug preparation and scheduled operate control plans.
• Attend to process deviations such as SPC, CBM, and FDC violations.
• Perform material disposition according to OCAP.
• Support process engineers on projects related to cost and quality improvements and line stability; assist with new tool qualifications.
• Adhere to 5S, EHS, waste management, cleanroom protocols, and Total Quality Management policies.

Your new responsibilities

• Perform daily process sustaining tasks such as slug preparation, scheduled anko according

• Support process engineers with various engineering projects in the area of cost & quality improvement and line stability and support new tool qualifications
• Adhere to company 5S, Environment, Health and Safety (EHS), Waste Management, Cleanroom Protocol and Total Quality Management System policies

What we look for

• Candidate must have at least a Diploma in Engineering, preferably in field of Mechanical / Electrical / Electronics / Vocationally trained.
• 1 year of front-end semiconductor wafer fabrication working experience
• 1 year of experience and competency in manufacturing, process engineering, product or process development
• Candidate with experience in sputtering and evaporation process would have an added advantage. Able to work on 12-hr rotating shift.
• Able to work effectively in cross-cultural multi-national working environment & organization.
• Fluent in English & Bahasa Malaysia.
