Job summary

ams OSRAM Opto Semiconductors is seeking a Diploma-qualified engineer to support daily wafer fabrication processes and drive process improvements in a high-precision environment.

The role requires experience in manufacturing or process development, the ability to work a 12-hour rotating shift, and fluency in English and Bahasa Malaysia for effective cross-cultural collaboration within a multinational team.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Engineering required.
• 1 year of front-end semiconductor wafer fabrication experience.
• 1 year of experience in manufacturing, process engineering, product or process development.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily process sustaining tasks such as slug preparation, scheduled anko according.
• Attend to process deviations such as SPC, CBM, FDC violation.
• Perform material disposition according to OCAP.
• Support process engineers with various engineering projects in cost & quality improvement and line stability and support new tool qualifications.
• Adhere to company 5S, Environment, Health and Safety (EHS), Waste Management, Cleanroom Protocol and Total Quality Management System policies.

• Candidate must have at least a Diploma in Engineering, preferably in field of Mechanical / Electrical / Electronics / Vocationally trained.
• 1 year of front-end semiconductor wafer fabrication working experience
• 1 year of experience and competency in manufacturing, process engineering, product or process development
• Candidate with experience in sputtering and evaporation process would have an added advantage.
• Able to work on 12-hr rotating shift.
• Able to work effectively in cross-cultural multi-national working environment & organization.
• Fluent in English & Bahasa Malaysia.
