Job summary

SimpliSolar is seeking a technically capable pre-sales engineer to support the Sales team by conducting site assessments and preparing accurate technical proposals for Residential, C&I, and EV projects. You will bridge the gap between sales and execution, ensuring proposed solutions are feasible, accurate, and commercially aligned.

In this role you will perform site assessments, sizing, layouts, and BOQ inputs for solar PV, BESS, and EV charging solutions, prepare complete proposals,

Qualifications

• Degree in Electrical Engineering, Renewable Energy, Mechanical Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
• 1-3 years of experience in solar PV, technical proposals, or site assessments (fresh graduates welcome).
• Ability to read electrical drawings, interpret site conditions, and prepare technical and BOQ inputs.
• Solid understanding of solar PV and EV charging systems; knowledge of BESS/EMS is a plus.
• Detail-oriented and willing to travel for site visits and customer meetings.

• Proposal Support: ensure technical proposals are complete and address site constraints, identifying risks and escalating complex issues.

Key Responsibilities

• Site Assessments & Design: Conduct site visits to capture essential electrical, structural, and safety data. Prepare preliminary system sizing, layouts, and BOQ inputs for solar PV, BESS, and EV charging solutions.
• Proposal Support: Ensure technical proposals are complete, address site constraints, and align with customer needs. Identify potential technical risks and escalates complex issues to the Senior Pre-Sales Engineer.
• Cross-Functional Coordination: Collaborate with Sales to provide technical clarifications to customers, and ensure smooth, execution-ready project handovers to the Operations and Procurement teams.

Requirements

• Degree in Electrical Engineering, Renewable Energy, Mechanical Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
• 1-3 years of experience in solar PV, technical proposals, or site assessments (highly motivated fresh graduates are welcome to apply).
• Ability to read electrical drawings, interpret site conditions, and prepare technical and BOQ inputs.
• Solid foundational understanding of solar PV and EV charging systems (knowledge of BESS and EMS is a strong advantage).
• Detail-oriented and proactive, with a willingness to travel for site visits and customer technical meetings.
