Job summary

HID Global is seeking a Junior Planner in Kulai, Malaysia to support production scheduling and master planning. You will work with management to ensure on-time production, monitor progress, and coordinate materials and shipments, while maintaining accurate documentation and adhering to environmental controls.

The role requires a diploma/degree and strong English/Bahasa Malaysia communication, with familiarity in MS Office and Power BI.

Qualifications

• Minimum diploma/degree in any field.
• Able to read and write in English and Bahasa Malaysia; other languages a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist planners in scheduling, data analysis, and report preparation.
• Track production progress and ensure schedules are met.
• Confirm orders and reschedule with customer service and sales as needed.
• Coordinate with planners for materials requirements.
• Manage WIP and submit adjustments for inventory reconciliation.
• Generate and monitor work order releases for production.
• Communicate and update shipment progress; support corrective actions for delays.

As our JUNIOR PLANNER you’ll support HID’s success by:

Summary

He/ She will be responsible to plan and determine the equipment use and schedule production run in the organization as professionally as possible base on the supply and demand needs. He/ She is responsible for the accuracy and timeliness of production process, developing a master schedule in consultation with management, and making sure that production schedule is on track.

Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Assist planners in scheduling, data analysis, and report preparation.

Keeping track of production progress, and ensuring planned production completes on schedules by monitoring daily and weekly production progress with the team

Provides confirmation of orders, and reschedules when necessary to customer service and sales

Assist in coordination with planners for materials requirements

Managing WIP by ensuring accuracy, and submitting adjustments for inventory re-conciliation

Conduct basic research on relevant planning topics and trends.

Generate and monitor workorder releases for production

Adhere to planning procedures and performance metric assigned by supervisor

Assist to communicate and update shipment progress

Assist planners by taking corrective actions for behind scheduled progress, and re-prioritizing demands and production scheduling based on market changes and business requirements

Maintain project documentation and files

May assist with drafting planning documents, proposals, and reports

Ensure on time delivery to customers based on committed schedule.

Ensure all activities are performed in a manner that does not create unnecessary environment impacts.

Comply with all environmental control procedures

Report or feedback environmental incidences or improvements needed.

Ensure all activities within their area of control is conducted in a manner that complies with environmental control procedures and does not create unnecessary environmental impacts

Monitor and ensure compliance to environmental operational controls and compliance with applicable legal and other requirements.

Communicate clear roles and responsibility for environmental control

Qualifications

Minimum of diploma/ degree of any field

Able to read and write in English and Bahasa Malaysia

Other languages is an added advantage

Education and/or Experience

Product knowledge

Working experience in similar capacity in manufacturing environment

Knowledge of administrative procedures

Language Skills

Ability to effectively communicate in the English language verbally and in writing

Ability to read and interpret technical journals, specifications, international technical standards, etc.

Must have the ability to perform additions, subtractions, etc

Other languages is an added advantage

Computer Skills

Proficient in MS Office applications, power BI

Familiar with operating systems, such as Windows, etc.

Proactive.

Understand the customer’s needs and demands, and react to the situation

Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Excellent organizational and time management skills
