Job summary

RIMEDYNE MALAYSIA SDN. BHD. is seeking a Mechanical Design & Manufacturing professional in Penang to support product structure design, prototype builds, and process optimization using CAD and 3D software.

You will prepare BOMs, machining drawings, assembly work instructions, and coordinate with production teams to resolve basic manufacturing issues, while maintaining engineering drawings and documentation.

Qualifications

• Diploma or above in Mechanical Design & Manufacturing, Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, or related fields.
• 1–2 years of mechanical-related experience; fresh graduates may be considered.
• Fresh graduates encouraged to apply.
• Experience in manufacturing, mechanical design, process engineering, or equipment is an advantage.
• Proficient in CAD/drawing software.
• Knowledge or experience in sheet metal design is an advantage.
• Detail-oriented, strong learning ability, and good understanding of technical drawings and data.
• Good communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work effectively with different departments.
• Good communication skills in English and Mandarin are preferred to effectively communicate with Mandarin-speaking clients.

Responsibilities

• Use CAD, Creo/SolidWorks, and other 3D design software to assist with product structure design, component improvement, and process optimization.
• Follow up on prototype builds and production assembly, record process parameters, assembly issues, and key data, and prepare test reports.
• Prepare BOMs, machining drawings, and assembly work instructions.
• Support production teams in resolving basic manufacturing and assembly technical issues and provide improvement suggestions.
• Organize and maintain engineering drawings, technical standards, process documents, and inspection reports.
• Participate in project meetings and coordinate with different departments to ensure smooth project completion.
• Perform other tasks assigned by the supervisor.
