Job summary

UMECH CONSTRUCTION SDN BHD is seeking a Project Coordinator to assist the Project Manager with day-to-day planning and implementation and to handle all technical aspects on site.

You will attend site meetings, monitor progress, and ensure compliance with contracts, standards, and regulations. The role involves coordinating M&E works with sub-contractors and consultants, and preparing monthly performance reports.

Qualifications

• Candidate must possess at least a Diploma, Degree, Professional Degree in Engineering (Civil) or equivalent.
• 2–3 years of M&E experience in building construction.
• Capability to coordinate M&E with Sub-Contractors, Consultant and Client.
• Ability to manage and resolve on-site technical issues.
• Initiative, independent and committed to duties.
• Fluency in Bahasa Malaysia and English.

Responsibilities

• Assist and report Project Manager in day-to-day project planning and implementation.
• Attend site meetings, inspect and report progress, monitor schedule.
• Assist in monitoring work progress and quality controls to meet contract and standards.
• Study drawings and specifications to understand project requirements.
• Ensure work complies with relevant standards and regulations.
• Oversee relocation of gas, water, telecom services and street/traffic systems.
• Prepare detailed monthly reports on maintenance and performance of utilities and electrical systems.
• Coordinate with main contractor and sub-contractors to align with work schedule.
