Job summary

Spectrum International University College in Subang Jaya invites applications for a full-time academic lecturer. You will deliver lectures, tutorials, and other teaching activities for SIUC programmes and design high-quality materials in line with programme requirements.

You will monitor student performance, provide feedback, and ensure timely upload of course materials and assessments via Spectrum2U LMS. The role includes academic administration and involvement in quality assurance activities.

Qualifications

Degree in related field is required.
Experience in higher education is preferred.
Able to work on weekends.

Responsibilities

Deliver lectures, tutorials, and other teaching activities for courses offered under SIUC programmes.
Prepare and maintain high-quality teaching and learning materials, including modules, assessments, teaching guides, and portfolios, in accordance with programme requirements.
Ensure timely upload of course materials, assessments, and student feedback via the institutional Learning Management System (Spectrum2U).
Design and prepare assessment and examination materials in compliance with approved formats and academic standards.
Monitor and evaluate students’ academic performance, participation, and attendance.
Provide academic guidance and constructive feedback to students to support learning progression.

Deliver lectures, tutorials, and other teaching activities for courses offered under SIUC programmes.
Prepare and maintain high-quality teaching and learning materials, including modules, assessments, teaching guides, and portfolios, in accordance with programme requirements.

Academic Administration

Maintain complete and up-to-date teaching files for each course taught.
Submit academic reports (e.g. course progress, attendance, assessment outcomes) to the Head of Academic as required.
Coordinate assessment marking and examination-related activities for assigned courses.
Ensure confidentiality of institutional and student information at all times.
Quality Assurance & Academic Development
Contribute to fostering a culture of academic excellence and continuous improvement.
Participate in curriculum review, enhancement, and implementation of academic policies.
Gather and analyse data related to student achievement and learning outcomes.
Participate in accreditation, quality assurance, and audit-related activities when required.

Professional Development & Engagement

Engage in continuous professional development, fulfilling a minimum of 40 hours of training per year.
Participate in academic planning, meetings, and institutional activities.
Where applicable, communicate professionally with parents/guardians on student academic matters through approved channels.
