Job summary

Yodo Design Studio is seeking a Junior Interior Designer / Graduate Trainee / Interior Design Intern to support the design process from concept to completion. You will produce technical drawings and renderings, coordinate on-site implementation, and gain hands-on experience across all project stages.

Ideal candidates hold a Diploma/Degree in Interior Design or Architecture, are proficient in AutoCAD and 3Ds Max or SketchUp, and are willing to travel to sites in Penang.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or currently pursuing relevant studies (for Interns).
• Proficient in AutoCAD and 3Ds Max or SketchUp.
• Comfortable working in both an office environment and active project sites.
• Willingness to travel to project sites across Penang as required.
• Proactive, detail-oriented, and ready to learn full-cycle project management.

Responsibilities

• Produce detailed 2D technical drawings (AutoCAD) and 3D renderings (3Ds Max / SketchUp).
• Assist in material selection, finish sourcing, and mood board creation.
• Conduct on-site measurements and ensure design details are implemented accurately by contractors.
• Attend site meetings and conduct regular visits to monitor construction progress and quality.
• Communicate effectively with site teams, contractors, and local vendors.
