Job summary

Entegris is seeking a Mechanical Systems Engineer in Malaysia to develop and optimize gas purification systems. You will design mechanical components, create documentation, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to enable full system integration and production readiness.

You will analyze and simulate performance, support testing and qualification, and contribute to continuous improvement in a global engineering environment. Fresh graduates are welcome; 1–2 years preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or master's degree in mechanical engineering or a related field.
• 1-2 years of experience preferred in mechanical engineering with a Bachelor's degree. Fresh graduates are welcome to apply.
• Proficiency in SolidWorks CAD software and simulation tools (e.g., SolidWorks Simulation, ANSYS).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex systems and processes.
• Hands-on experience troubleshooting mechanical, process, test, or system integration issues during assembly, testing, or commissioning.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey technical information clearly and concisely.
• Experience with SAP ERP systems, especially BOMs, routings and documentation.
• Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment and mentor less experienced engineers.
• Ability to prioritize workload and manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
• Detail-oriented with strong problem solving and decision-making skills.
• Experience working in a global company with cross-site collaboration.
• A proactive mindset with a passion for innovation and sustainability.

Responsibilities

• Design mechanical components, assemblies and subsystems for UHP gas purification systems.
• Create and maintainsolid models, engineering drawings, design specifications, BOMs, procedures and other documents to support development of systems.
• Work closely with cross-functional teams for full systems integration.
• Understand and support system-level architecture, P&ID, gas flow path and interfaces.
• Conduct engineering calculations, analysis and simulations to evaluate performance and feasibility.
• Support testing, validation, qualification, FAT, STP, commissioning and production builds.
• Work with suppliers, quality and operations to ensure design requirements are met.
• Support product transfer activities, including design package reviews and BOM readiness.
• Analyze and optimize purification processes to improve efficiency and reduce energy use.
• Prepare detailed technical documentation including drawings and test reports.
• Assist in engineering changes and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Stay updated with advancements in gas purification technologies.
