Job summary
Entegris is seeking a Mechanical Systems Engineer in Malaysia to develop and optimize gas purification systems. You will design mechanical components, create documentation, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to enable full system integration and production readiness.
You will analyze and simulate performance, support testing and qualification, and contribute to continuous improvement in a global engineering environment. Fresh graduates are welcome; 1–2 years preferred.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's or master's degree in mechanical engineering or a related field.
- 1-2 years of experience preferred in mechanical engineering with a Bachelor's degree. Fresh graduates are welcome to apply.
- Proficiency in SolidWorks CAD software and simulation tools (e.g., SolidWorks Simulation, ANSYS).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex systems and processes.
- Hands-on experience troubleshooting mechanical, process, test, or system integration issues during assembly, testing, or commissioning.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey technical information clearly and concisely.
- Experience with SAP ERP systems, especially BOMs, routings and documentation.
- Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment and mentor less experienced engineers.
- Ability to prioritize workload and manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
- Detail-oriented with strong problem solving and decision-making skills.
- Experience working in a global company with cross-site collaboration.
- A proactive mindset with a passion for innovation and sustainability.
Responsibilities
- Design mechanical components, assemblies and subsystems for UHP gas purification systems.
- Create and maintainsolid models, engineering drawings, design specifications, BOMs, procedures and other documents to support development of systems.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams for full systems integration.
- Understand and support system-level architecture, P&ID, gas flow path and interfaces.
- Conduct engineering calculations, analysis and simulations to evaluate performance and feasibility.
- Support testing, validation, qualification, FAT, STP, commissioning and production builds.
- Work with suppliers, quality and operations to ensure design requirements are met.
- Support product transfer activities, including design package reviews and BOM readiness.
- Analyze and optimize purification processes to improve efficiency and reduce energy use.
- Prepare detailed technical documentation including drawings and test reports.
- Assist in engineering changes and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Stay updated with advancements in gas purification technologies.

In this role, theMechanical Systems Engineerwill work closely with mechanical, electrical, controls, software, manufacturing, quality, compliance,suppliersand global engineering teams to support new product development, product transfer, qualification, productionreadinessand continuous improvement activities.
- Design mechanical components,assembliesand sub-systemsfor UHP gas purification systems.
- Size and select components asrequiredto meet UHP gas purifier systemdesign, performance, safety,reliabilityand compliancerequirements.
- Createandmaintainsolid models,engineeringdrawings,designspecifications, BOMs,proceduresand other required documents to support development of systems.
