Job summary

Pepper Labs in Kuala Lumpur is seeking a Junior Developer with AWS Solutions Architect Associate certification to join our growing development team. Based in our Kuala Lumpur office, this full-time role focuses on building and maintaining scalable AWS-based applications while gaining hands-on experience with modern development practices.

You will work with senior developers and architects, following SDLC and Agile practices, and contribute to documentation and cloud deployments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• AWS Solutions Architect Associate (SAA) certification is essential.
• Solid understanding of cloud computing concepts and AWS core services.
• Familiarity with version control systems, preferably Git.
• Knowledge of SDLC and Agile methodologies.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work in a team.

Responsibilities

• Develop, test and deploy applications on AWS cloud platform.
• Collaborate with senior developers and architects to design and implement cloud solutions.
• Write clean, efficient and well-documented code following coding standards.
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to code quality improvements.
• Troubleshoot and debug applications and resolve issues promptly.

About the role

Pepper Labs is seeking a talented Junior Developer with AWS Solutions Architect Associate (SAA) certification to join our growing development team in Kuala Lumpur. This is a full-time position based in our Kuala Lumpur office, offering an exciting opportunity to work on cloud-based solutions and develop your career in a dynamic technology environment. As a Junior Developer, you will be instrumental in building and maintaining scalable AWS-based applications whilst gaining hands-on experience with modern development practices and cloud architecture.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, test and deploy applications on the AWS cloud platform using best practices and industry standards
• Collaborate with senior developers and architects to design and implement cloud solutions that meet business requirements
• Write clean, efficient and well-documented code following established coding standards and guidelines
• Participate in code reviews and contribute constructively to improving code quality across the team
• Troubleshoot and debug applications, identifying and resolving issues in a timely manner
• Assist in the configuration and management of AWS services including EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda and other relevant services
• Support the deployment and monitoring of applications in AWS environments
• Contribute to the development of technical documentation and knowledge sharing within the team

What we're looking for

• Prior experience with CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation is preferred
