JUNIOR ACCOUNT EXECUTIVE
Location: Cyberjaya, Selangor
Industry: Café / Food & Beverage
Working Days: 6 days per week, including selected public holidays
About the Role
We are looking for a Junior Account Executive to join our team and support our finance, administrative, HR and daily café operations.
This is a hands-on position suitable for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced café environment and is willing to be involved beyond traditional accounting duties.
You will work closely with the management team to ensure our financial records, administrative tasks, staff matters and daily operations run smoothly.
Key Responsibilities
Accounting & Finance
- Assist with daily accounting and bookkeeping activities.
- Record and maintain sales, purchases, expenses and other financial transactions.
- Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable.
- Perform daily sales reconciliation and payment checking.
- Prepare invoices, payment documents and basic financial reports.
- Assist with month-end closing and documentation.
- Maintain proper filing and organisation of financial records.
- Liaise with suppliers and relevant parties regarding invoices and payments.
- Assist the management team with basic financial analysis and cost monitoring.
Café Daily Operations
- Be actively involved in the café’s daily operation, especially Front of House (FOH).
- Assist the FOH team during busy periods when required.
- Support cashiering, customer service, order taking and basic service operations.
- Monitor daily operational procedures and report issues to management.
- Assist in ensuring the café maintains proper standards of cleanliness, service and efficiency.
- Understand and support the overall café workflow, including opening and closing procedures.
- Work closely with the operations team to identify areas for improvement.
HR & Administration
- Assist with basic HR administration and staff documentation.
- Assist with staff attendance, leave records and working schedules.
- Maintain employee records and relevant HR documentation.
- Assist management with staff onboarding and basic administrative matters.
- Support communication between management and café crew.
- Assist with recruitment coordination and interview arrangements when required.
- Help ensure company policies and operational procedures are properly communicated to staff.
Requirements
- Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or a related field.
- Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply.
- 1–2 years of relevant working experience will be an advantage.
- Basic understanding of accounting principles and bookkeeping.
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Excel / Google Sheets.
- Good attention to detail and accuracy.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Willing to work in a hands-on café environment.
- Willing to work 6 days per week, including public holidays according to the café’s operating schedule.
- Able to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks.
- Responsible, organised and proactive.
- Comfortable interacting with customers and café crew.
