Akademi Sempoa & Mental Aritmetik UCMAS Sdn Bhd in Kuala Lumpur is seeking an Account Executive / Account Assistant to join our Finance & Accounts team. Fresh graduates are welcome and training will be provided to help you gain practical accounting experience and build a long-term career.

You will handle day-to-day accounting, assist with Accounts Payable and Receivable, prepare invoices and payment vouchers, and maintain proper filing.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Degree in Accounting, Finance or related field
• Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply
• 1–2 years of accounting experience will be an added advantage
• Basic understanding of accounting principles
• Knowledge of Accounts Payable or Accounts Receivable will be an advantage
• Knowledge of SQL Accounting will be an added advantage
• Basic knowledge of Microsoft Excel
• Careful, responsible and organised
• Willing to learn and take on new responsibilities
• Able to work independently and as part of a team
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• Mandarin-speaking candidates are encouraged to apply due to communication with Mandarin-speaking business associates and stakeholders
• Training, guidance and practical support will be provided

Responsibilities

• Handle day-to-day accounting transactions
• Assist with Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable
• Prepare invoices, receipts and payment vouchers
• Record accounting transactions into the accounting system
• Assist with online banking and payment preparation
• Monitor incoming payments and outstanding collections
• Check supplier invoices and supporting documents
• Maintain proper filing of accounting documents and records
• Update accounting schedules and internal records
• Liaise with suppliers, customers and internal departments when required
• Assist senior team members with general accounting matters
• Perform other Finance & Accounts duties assigned by management
