Job summary

Swift in Kuala Lumpur is seeking a motivated Developer/Systems Engineer to join the Sanctions Testing team. You will contribute to development, testing, deployment, maintenance and support of a critical application used by financial institutions worldwide to validate sanctions screening systems.

You will work in a cross‑functional Scrum team with stakeholders in Europe, delivering end‑to‑end components and features while adhering to architectural guidelines and quality practices.

Qualifications

• Solid knowledge of Java 21 and OO design patterns.
• Hands-on with Spring framework and testing tools (JUnit, Mockito, Cucumber).
• Experience with cloud and containerisation technologies.
• Proficient with Git, IntelliJ, Maven and CI/CD tools like Jenkins and Jira.
• Experience with XML/JSON parsing and messaging basics.
• Front-end basics (JavaScript) is a strong asset.
• Agile mindset and collaborative team player.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to development, testing, deployment, and support of the STS product.
• Work in a cross‑functional Scrum team with product managers and leads.
• Develop and maintain Java components and attached tooling.
• Participate in code reviews, CI/CD, and automated testing efforts.
• Collaborate with Europe and Malaysia teams in a distributed setup.
• Ensure performance, security and operational stability in delivery.
