Job summary

TTMS Software is seeking a Back End Developer in Kuala Lumpur to build and maintain backend services using Java and Spring Boot. You will collaborate with product managers and developers to design robust solutions and ensure seamless integration with front-end components.

The role requires 3+ years in backend development, REST API design, SQL/data modeling, and experience with Docker, Kubernetes and AWS. Strong communication and a passion for clean, maintainable code are essential.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of Backend Developer experience with Java and Spring Boot.
• Experience designing RESTful APIs and working with databases.
• Proficiency in Git and agile development methodologies.
• Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes and AWS services.
• Testing frameworks like JUnit/Mockito; Jasmine/Karma exposure is a plus.

As a Back End Developer, you will play a pivotal role in developing and maintaining our backend services (Java, Spring Boot). You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure the seamless development and integration of front-end and back-end components, delivering exceptional user experiences. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in software development, a keen eye for detail, and a passion for keeping up with emerging technologies.

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with product managers, UI/UX designers, technical leads, and fellow developers to design and implement robust software solutions.
• Participating in daily standup, sprint planning, retrospective meetings during project implementation phase.
• Design and implement RESTful APIs and back-end services using Java/SpringBoot to support front-end functionalities.
• Write unit, integration, and end-to-end tests to ensure application quality and performance.
• Work with databases and data models to ensure efficient data storage, retrieval, and manipulation.

Requirements

• Proven experience (min 3+ years) as a Backend Developer with hands-on expertise in Java with Spring Boot.
• Proficiency in designing and consuming RESTful APIs.
• Solid knowledge of database systems, SQL, and data modeling.
• Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git) and agile development methodologies.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.
• Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes,
• Experience deploying or integrating applications on AWS (EKS / EC2 / S3 / RDS)
• Exposure to testing frameworks like Jasmine, Karma (Angular), JUnit, Mockito (Java).
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Experience using IDE tools like Visual Studio Code and Eclipse.
• Self-driven, collaborative, and passionate about clean, maintainable code.

Education and Certification:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• Certification in AWS Certified: Developer Associate or equivalent is a plus.
