Job summary

Jora Malaysia is seeking an experienced Software Developer – Java & Angular to join our engineering team in Malaysia. The successful candidate will work across both backend and frontend development, building scalable enterprise applications using Java, Spring Boot and Angular.

You will work closely with developers, QA engineers, business analysts and architects to deliver high-quality software solutions.

Qualifications

• 3–4 years of professional software development experience.
• Strong hands-on Java and Spring Framework / Spring Boot.
• OOP.
• RESTful APIs, exception handling, logging and application security.
• Relational databases and strong SQL fundamentals.
• Strong hands-on Angular and TypeScript.
• HTML5 and CSS3.
• Git-based source control.
• Agile/Scrum and unit testing practices.
• Bachelor's degree or diploma in CS/SE/IT preferred.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain enterprise web applications using Java and Angular.
• Develop backend services and RESTful APIs using Java and Spring Boot.
• Build responsive, reusable and maintainable user interfaces using Angular and TypeScript.
• Integrate frontend applications with backend REST APIs and third-party services.
• Design and implement business logic following established architecture and coding standards.
• Work with relational databases and write efficient SQL queries.
• Troubleshoot application issues, identify root causes and implement appropriate fixes.
• Write unit tests and participate in integration and functional testing.
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to improving code quality.
• Collaborate with QA, Business Analysts, Architects and other development teams.
