Job summary

Scicom MSC Berhad is seeking an IT Operations Engineer to ensure the stability, performance, and daily maintenance of their Java/Python/Vue-based systems with Oracle/MySQL/PostgreSQL databases. The role focuses on monitoring, troubleshooting, and rapid response to anomalies to maintain uptime.

The ideal candidate will have a strong Java foundation, database expertise, and experience with automated deployment, log analysis, and monitoring tools, plus fluency in English and Mandarin.

Qualifications

• Proficient in Java technology framework and able to read Java code.
• Experience with Oracle/MySQL/PostgreSQL databases.
• Able to optimize SQL, design indexes, and manage large data volumes.
• Experience with automated deployment, log analysis, and monitoring systems.
• Excellent English and Mandarin communication, team-oriented.
• Willingness to learn and adapt to business needs.
• Respond quickly to system anomalies and resolve issues.

Responsibilities

• Be responsible for the daily operation and maintenance, problem troubleshooting, performance monitoring, and stability guarantee of the system.
• Conduct fault analysis, problem identification, and emergency handling.
• Promptly respond to online anomalies and facilitate their resolution to maintain operational continuity.
