SILVERLAKE is looking for a Java Application Developer to create high-impact banking applications affecting millions of users. You will lead projects from concept to deployment, ensuring the application’s performance and compliance.

The role demands at least 8 years of experience in Java development, with skills in JSF, XHTML, and IBM DB2. You’ll collaborate with teams to translate business needs into technical solutions while maintaining a focus on security and quality.

Local citizens and permanent residents are preferred, and the company may sponsor qualified candidates.

• Proficient in Java, JSF, XHTML, CSS, Jasper Reports, and IBM DB2 queries.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently with minimal supervision while delivering high-quality results.

Core Responsibilities

• Translate business requirements into clear technical designs, specifications, and workflows.
• Build scalable backend and frontend code using Java, JSF, XHTML, and CSS.
• Test system performance, debug software issues, and optimize complex IBM DB2 database queries.
• Secure banking applications by enforcing strict compliance, data confidentiality, and programming guidelines.
• Co-author comprehensive architecture diagrams, technical documentation, and Jasper Reports.
• Collaborate with clients, business analysts, and cross-functional teams to negotiate and deliver software systems.
• Deliver enterprise-grade software systems independently on aggressive development schedules.

Job Requirements

• Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Enterprise Experience: At least 8 years of professional experience in Java Enterprise Edition (JEE) web application development.
• Core Tech Stack: Proficient in Java, JavaServer Faces (JSF), XHTML, CSS, Jasper Reports, and IBM DB2 queries.
• Track Record: Proven experience completing at least one full Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) implementation.
• Autonomy: Demonstrated ability to work independently with minimal supervision while delivering high-quality results.
• Strategic Mindset: Capable of formulating sound technical proposals and making critical implementation decisions with supervisory guidance.
• Soft Skills: Strong analytical, investigative, communication, and stakeholder negotiation skills.
