Job summary

CIMB is seeking an experienced full stack developer in Kuala Lumpur to own and advance backend services for core banking and digital channels. You will translate requirements into clean code, and collaborate with product owners, architects, QA, and DevOps to deliver features on schedule.

Required Competencies and Skills

Technical/Functional Skills:

• 5–7 years of hands-on experience in Java backend development.
• Strong proficiency in Java 11+ and Spring Boot for building scalable services.
• Solid experience designing and developing RESTful APIs.
• Good understanding of SQL, data modeling, and performance tuning in relational databases.
• Familiarity with messaging/event-driven architecture (for example, Kafka or RabbitMQ).
• Working knowledge of CI/CD, Git, and automated testing (unit/integration).
• Good grasp of secure coding practices, API security, and production support.
• Strong communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills in Agile teams.
• Self-starter and motivated, with the ability to work in a fast-paced Rapid Application Development environment; able to handle multiple development tasks and assignments simultaneously.
