Job summary

Techstreet in Kuala Lumpur is seeking a Java-focused software engineer to design, develop, test, and maintain Java applications. You will analyze requirements, implement features, perform unit and integration tests, and troubleshoot production issues.

The role emphasizes Spring/Spring Boot, SQL databases, SDLC adherence, and strong communication. You will work both independently and with teams, document designs, and support UAT and deployments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum 3 to 4 years of working experience in Java application development.
• Candidates who are able to speak Cantonese and/or Mandarin are highly preferred to support business and stakeholder communication.
• Strong programming skills in Java and experience with object-oriented programming concepts.
• Experience with Java frameworks such as Spring, Spring Boot, or related technologies is an advantage.
• Familiarity with SQL databases (e.g., Oracle, MySQL, or SQL Server).
• Experience in system analysis, troubleshooting, and application support.
• Knowledge of web services, APIs, and software development lifecycle (SDLC).
• Good analytical, problem‑solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
