GE Aerospace Malaysia is seeking an enthusiastic IT intern to support planning and execution of IT initiatives across the organization. The role offers hands-on experience in M365 support and migration, general IT operations, and troubleshooting.

Ideal for IT or CS students with a strong interest in IT systems and infrastructure. You will work with the IT team on M365 migrations, provide user support, document processes, and gain exposure to IT infrastructure within a manufacturing environment

Role Overview

As an IT intern, you will be involved in providing technical support for M365 applications and migration projects, as well as general IT operations. Working closely with the IT team, you will contribute to ensuring smooth IT operations and minimal disruption to business activities.

M365 Support & Migration

• Provide comprehensive support for M365 applications, including troubleshooting, configuration, and user assistance.
• Assist in the planning and execution of M365 migration projects, including email, data, and application migrations.
• Ensure minimal disruption to business operations during M365 transitions, including pre‑migration testing and post‑migration validation.
• Collaborate with the IT team to develop and implement M365 best practices.

General IT Support

• Respond to and resolve user inquiries related to hardware, software, and network issues.
• Monitor IT systems to identify and address potential issues before they impact operations.
• Document all support activities, resolutions, and escalating issues to senior IT staff when necessary.
• Support day‑to‑day IT operations, including the maintenance and administration of IT infrastructure.
• Manage user accounts, permissions, and access rights in line with security policies.
• Provide on‑site and remote support as required.

Ideal Candidate

• The ideal candidate is an Information Technology or Computer Science undergrad who can commit to a 12 to 24 Weeks internship which is passionate about IT systems and eager to apply technical knowledge to real‑world challenges in a manufacturing or industrial setting.

Required Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a diploma or degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related discipline.
• You will need to be able to commit to a minimum internship period of 12 to 24 Weeks

Preferred Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a diploma/degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related discipline.
• Strong interest in IT systems, infrastructure, and M365 applications.
• Basic understanding of it hardware, software, and network systems.
• Comfortable working with data and able to perform basic analysis using Excel or similar tools.
• Willingness to conduct site‑level audits and engage with various teams to gather information.
• Good communication and documentation skills.
