Job summary

Gamuda is seeking an enthusiastic IT Intern to join our team at Gamuda Cove in Dengkil, Selangor. This role offers hands-on experience in enterprise IT operations, desktop support, network maintenance, vendor coordination, and asset management.

You will gain practical exposure to real-world IT infrastructure, work closely with senior IT staff, and build foundational skills in hardware setup, network checks, and documentation. This is a hands-on placement designed to foster learning and growth.

Qualifications

• Pursuing Diploma or Bachelor's in IT, CS, CE or related field.
• Basic PC hardware, OS (Windows/macOS), and network fundamentals (TCP/IP, Wi-Fi).
• Proficient in Excel or Google Sheets for logging and data tracking.
• Strong troubleshooting mindset, good organizational skills, and a willingness to learn.

Responsibilities

• Assist in setting up and configuring workstations, monitors, printers, and peripherals.
• Provide Tier-1 support for basic PC, OS, and hardware troubleshooting.
• Assist in testing, hardware health checks, and logging issues for senior engineers.
• Conduct routine checks on site network and Wi-Fi connectivity, escalating outages promptly.
• Help coordinate and track the physical movement of IT equipment across locations.
• Draft Purchase Requisitions (PRs) and gather quotations from IT vendors.
• Track hardware orders, delivery schedules, and return/replacement processes.
• Follow up on open service tickets with third-party vendors and site personnel.
• Maintain up-to-date tracking spreadsheets for IT assets, hardware lifecycles, and open support issues.
• Keep technical documentation, setup guides, and inventory records organized.
• Prepare basic periodic reports for the infrastructure management team.
• Gain practical exposure to real-world IT infrastructure operations and site support.
• Receive direct mentorship from senior IT infrastructure specialists.
