Job summary

Genting Malaysia is seeking an IT Executive – Security Operations to support day-to-day security operations, monitor endpoints and perimeter infrastructure, and assist in incident response. The role collaborates with IT Engineers, SOC, and Enterprise Defence teams to enforce security controls and drive cybersecurity initiatives.

The ideal candidate has foundational cybersecurity knowledge, familiarity with EDR, firewalls, VPNs, and vulnerability tools, and is eager to grow practical experience

Qualifications

• Diploma or bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Cybersecurity, or related field.
• Entry-level certifications such as CompTIA Security+, Network+, Microsoft Security, CCNA or equivalent preferred.
• Active pursuit of relevant cybersecurity certifications may be considered.

Responsibilities

• Support endpoint and perimeter security daily operations and monitoring.
• Escalate alerts to IT Engineers, senior security personnel, or SOC.
• Assist in vulnerability remediation, patching, and secure configurations.
• Maintain security inventories and operational records.
• Coordinate with SOC and Enterprise Defence teams for investigations.
• Assist in vulnerability assessments and remediation tracking.
• Document incident details and post-incident actions.
• Collaborate with various teams to implement security controls.
